Info SkillsUSA is the national organization for students in training programs in technical, skilled and service occupations. Originally known as the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA), SkillsUSA is currently comprised of more than 300,000 high school and college students, more than 15,000 teachers, and more than 1,100 companies that sponsor SkillsUSA. SkillsUSA programs include Local, State, and National competitions. During the Annual-National Contest students compete in 87 hands-on skill contests. SkillsUSA helps establish the industry standards for job skill training in the classroom, and is also recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
